This is just great. I have waited like 6 months for a game that doesnt even work.

Problems:
Punkbuster wont enable, even when i hit "Enable Punkbuster" it does nothing. So i cant join any PB servers.

When i tried to make my own game, it said something about an axis player not loading.

So i am pretty pissed. I cant even play it, so im waiting for a much needed patch. Or unless someone can give me some good advice, which i doubt at this point.

I am very dissapointed in .49. What a let down.

It is not 049, reinstall WET. Install WET first, patch it up, open it, enter the settings and congifurations, turn on PB, exit WET, update PB, then install TCE, then run TCE.

Looks like im going to have to get boot camp to play this, for it runs really weird on intel core duo's.

Average fps: 25, but its goes from 60 to like, 8.

Im not sure if Core2 Duos are really being taken advantage on. I suggest forcing the system to run the game on one core not two. The problem is the same on most games running on dualcore systems.

You're experiencing slowdown because TC:E and W:ET are not Universal applications, that means the game is running under Rosetta, Apple's own PowerPC emulation technology for converting PowerPC code to x86 for use on Intel processors.

Until the Universal version of W:ET is compiled and released you're stuck with poor performance. Once the universal binaries have been released, TT can then recompile TC:E and release a small patch for you Intel Mac people. Hopefully it won't be too long, but as there is no official word on the Universal version you'll just have to wait patiently. Having said that, you could download and install the PC version of TC:E via boot camp during the interim.

Well that all depends on what kind of Mac you have. If you have a MacBook Pro, iMac or Mac Pro, then you will have a good gaming experience within Windows. However, if you have a Mac Mini or Mac Book, then chances are things might tend to get jerky due to the crappy onboard graphics system.

Its not just the IGP GPU, it could also be the Core2 duo, as you see, not all games support dual cores fully therefore you must disable the other core when playing games. If you are using an IGP card specifically on laptops, limit the graphics settings to medium. I used to use IGP before TCE ran fine, perfectly fine but I cant put anything at high.

Imac Intel core duo, 1.83 ghz, 1.5 gb RAM.

Looks like i wont have to wait long, im getting windows on Oct 14.
Ah well, i dont mind waiting. Seeing as how i waited this long for .49, i can wait longer.

Xenokiller: Usualy most non UB games run decent, this is the worst i have seen one run. But its fine.

For dual core/ dual processor users it might be a good idea to enable SMP support within the et.cfg.

Look for the line:

Code:
 seta r_smp

and make it "1" This should provide a substantial boost.
