alo! my problems this- if i am able to connect to a server, frag the game, next map begins. map loads up completely, disconnect., unknown reason. i clickity the reconnect box, 5 minutes later, im playin. end of game, nextmap, same process.... a rare few servers i can continue on without disconnect... this happens on most servers. i have 1.4 rtcw update, pb updated, the TC:E install, and only patch, then the et patch, in that order. known issues: this p.o.s. comp is outdated, it is a p2(333), 164mb ram, gforce2. i need to re partition, or zero fill, re install. although i have a sepperate hdrive with one gig for swap, and only used for swap, my c drive is screaming, thus laggin the game. i have no swap what so ever on c, tho xp still has a 2gb page file regrdless. the hdrive stops after a few minutes into the game, no problms. seems the only time i have a prob, is connecting, and first few minutes of the game. i have fragged for years with a different p2, 450MHz 512 cache, and 512 MB ram. it sucks, but ive fragged for years with that setup, no problems. yea, i kno update my system, and demote this setup to a file server is proably suggestion #1, if any responses, i do know if i had more ram, that would improve the situation. ill have the cpu, n ram shipped back to me. other wise, its this settup, or nothing. im thinking its better than zero, ho ever, server connect-disconnect-reconnect time is makin me veer back to rtcw, 180 degrees from where iwant to go... any ideas on this disconnect issue? also, where do us beta rats report bugs, observations, where can we bitch? thanks on any info/help. |

heehhe well in my clans forums, whenevers theres a link, some of the noobers put "clickity"...which can sometimes lead to sometthing u wished u diddnt visit! =) lol well i got a better progie, disk keeper, cleaned up my c drive, it did help the performance, but same disconnect issues tho. sopposedly got 50% better fragmented access, and 20% complete drive access. pagefiles only 245.MB not 2 gb lol. well im gonna re install anyways, this time leave the partition the full 10gb. u figure 7.5 gb would be enuff for xp and the progies... man i luv this mod! i dont think ill be installing the counterstrike:condition zero again! well i hope to contribute to the mod, if anyone needs any model work, or texturing, im fluent in truespace, and photoshop. i kno some web stuff , and a littl audio. pm me if needed. any sys admins wanna pm me regarding THEAK74SDMASSACRE conduct,that got him kicked, he claims to get me black listed, pm me aswell, i have condumps, and screenies to send ya... tx ppl greetz! |

lol, well i meant off topic humor, we wouldnt stiff each other.lucky enuff to have a motley crue of teammates, but take care of sh*t when things need to be serious. kinda like mash 4077 heeheh well theres a nice progie "second copy", good for auto archiving, backups, network enabled too. have it trow ur data to a file server, on a non routable proto....re installs much easier. i like the sound of urs, so u keep ur system files, os, or keep ur data, and u just re-install with reborn? hey, i did some surgery, on a p2 350, 512mb cache. completely screwed up one of my hex wrenches pulling thee dam heat sink screws  , looks like a twisted candy cane now, but the sys is runnin better. i also upped the bus speed from 66, to 100. im not shure if the chips a 100 fsb, but its not fried, nor smoking either. stil need to deal with the c partition tho. system has improved. if some plans go well, ill be sportin a 939 amd 3000, with a fsb of 1600MHz joy! =) the chip has a cap of 1800MHz bus tho. all for 300.00 before tax.
