Post subject:  SPONSORS

i think the devs should get some sponsors,
to support this mod on the financial side,

well asking big company's like, MICROSOFT, SONY, KONAMI, ect. ect.
to sponsor this mod, would be impossible,

but whats really possible,
is to ask small gun store's / small game store's,
or a small store where they sell army equipments like mask's,army trousers ect. ect. if they wanna sponsor this mod,
people will see they're company's name and logo on the start of the intro.

try to negotiate with the owner of the store,
and if they're not intrested in giving money,
you can always ask the owner of the gun store,
to allow the devs to use all the weopons/army equipment
to test things out for the mod, and use that as an alternative paying method. im sure some would get to an agreement,

this will give a boost on TC'S commercial side,
and financial side,

it will also give a boost on this mod's growing prosses,
because i can sense this mod is gonna be a succes in the future.

and by the way, if the devs can earn some big cash,
they could also upgrade the studio, and buy more equipments,
expensive development tools/softwares ect. ect.

wow.. imagine that
a simple mod made by some people who develops a game,
just for the pleasure and fun,
despite all of that, it turn out that this mod is a major succes,
on the popularity and... financially,

now take look at this picture, (try to avoid looking at those ugly blue/red barrels)
http://www.truecombat.us/gallery/albums ... house4.jpg
all i have to say to the devs is, keep doing the good job!!
keep working hard, keep upgrading the wet-engine, keep pushing the limits,
and evrything will be friggen awesome...

look this is no suck up,
but im proud of the devs,

besides some idiot who deletes my post's on the main.forum for no reason.

they need to get a sponsor, true. but this is a free game and a sponsor usually wont sponsor for no profit. This is a capitalistic workd revolving around little sheets of green paper, there nothing we can do about this.

afcourse you can get sponsers,
evry project can get sponsers dude...
they're profit is that they're company name will be at the start of the intro.
or on this website or whatever,
there are tons of different ways the company can profit from.

these guys should focus on getting Splash Damage and Id software to sponsor them as CS got Valve's attention and sponsorship.

I agree, they should better aim for a much bigger sponser,
problem is, how are they gonna do that?

maybe hiring some new P.R.'s that are experienced with these kind of things

the thing is, big @$$ companies dont sponsor mod teams only official money making companies.

thats why...
its better to look for small little companies to sponsor this mod.
maybe a populair website or something?
but thats more a sponsor for publicity,
and not the finances. but that would be ok too though,
its a start....

if TC 0.49 is gonna be published in IGN,
and if the comments are good,

that would be a major step forward towards "PROFESSIONALISM"

but you know, before doing that, they should start fixing the friggen annoying empty server list's,

that gives this game a bad name to new players.
80% of all new players complains about empty server list,

funny though, i whas chatting on yahoo,
advertising "www.truecombat.us" and asked people to download this mod,
someone allready knew about this game, but he said that he dont play TC:E anymore because he always gets an empty server list.
so i recommand the devs to really really fix this server bug.

I think gettin TC:E recodnised as an official ET mod would be very nice...

Planet Wolfenstien already watches TC:E, that's how I found it.

Producing high quality content is the highest priority, all the rest will be following on its on when the time has come. I don't think that it is the right policy to obtain anything by begging, currently. The version that is out now has not enough potential to achive something "big"! If the game will be competitive and if the relased version will be comparable with the quality renders of the newest screenshots and above, then the game will sell itself. They also have no studio where they would meet etc. They also have no budget, all they have is a pc and knowledge. They work over the interent and serve each others with codes and media content. They are not profitting from this project and do it out of passion. The only way to go retail would be to make the game addictive and competitive, so that it would get played on exclusive leagues and tournaments. Then they could grab the attention of publishers and other game developers and would make their dream come true of becoming a professional game developer studio. All this is rather far-fatched and if you count how many modifications are beeing worked on and how many of them have actually had achived something in that direction, then it is pretty obvious that such intentions would be almost impossible. Nevertheless, the game is and I am confident that it will be enjoyable to play and that they will deserve a lot of credit for their work. If it will be enough to go the path of cs, dod, et, to etc is another story.
