Yes, the good old times

Lately, we played a round of Q3T at a retro LAN party. Unfortunately not Q3TC.
Given the state of the Q3-based engines/games I researched lately (Cod4, BlackOps III, ioQuake3, etXreal, ETL), I guess ioQuake3 thanks to their solid parallel split shadow maps (aka cascaded shadow maps) for sunlight is the best option as a basis for any Q3-engine based modding nowadays. etXreal's cascaded shadow maps are unfortunately too slow. I guess that is why this feature was not enabled in the otherwise great etXreal alpha release (from long ago).
Unfortunately the Q3TC code is far away from the QCB, which would mean rebooting from Q3TC in ioQuake3.
