Post subject:  Basic info for Cod4:MW:TC mapping


i just wanted to know what size doorframes and windows should have since i don't have Delta or Northport as .map (for reference).

Maybe we could also make a general thread about the basics of mapping for mw:tc to get a fast overview about most common measurements like persons height, doorframe height, wall height and stuff like that.
Also maybe check the links for everything you need to map.

Something like merlin and Dimstar and guys made for ET-mapping ages ago.

i forgot about penetrating walls:
how thick does a wall have to be so bullets cant get throught? Whatabout grenades lying on the other side of the wall? Will they still hurt you?
I noticed on some hours playing mw again ppl shoot (normal stone??) walls and you get killed... Have to check that again

As far as I am aware, grenades don't do shit as long as you are behind a non-transparent object. So, even the smallest walls I've seen can't be exploded through.
