0.49b install is a very user-friendly install from all sides, both devs creating it and players installing it.

As stated above 0.49 initially creates the tcetest folder (as 0.49 was a whole replacement and people were told to remove 0.48)

then unzip the 0.49b patch into tcetest. In the past there was a patch that did unfortunately include a tcetest folder which did confuse matters somewhat, though I have personally made sure that this has and does not happen again.

why couldnt the installation of the 0.49b be the same as the old 0.48 patch, the 0.48 patch was really userfriendly.

it was about the same thing, only the .48 one had the stuff already in a tcetest folder in the /zip.
