you know they should (SHOULD) use "non-conductive" liqiuds such as oil in any case that it leaks it woudnt damage anything. Obviously an improperly assembled liquid cooling system. or probably cheap parts. When it comes to that kind of system cooling, have an expert do the job if your not really an expert with cooling systems. Have the fridge repair man do it for you.

Well It, any liquid you use, has the ability to ruin stuff, especially computer parts, with oil for instance, it might work for that, but it manages to get everywhere and is very hard to get off stuff, it gets almost sticky when it's heated too. So that won't work. As for liquid cooling, my brother uses a liquid cooling system, it works great for keeping stuff cool, but he takes no risks and runs the system through soapy water every month, completely drains it and puts new stuff in it, and then runs it outside the computer before hooking it up.

Soapy water will sputter and bubble if there is a hole, and since it is easy to clean and is usually not flamable, it works good for the job.

it also mkes sense to use more durable higher grade pipes and tubing to avoid leaks, and usual you really have to make sure you get top quality equiptment for liquid cooling. What would be good if the liqiud cooling itself was external, kinda like an airconditioner, since its basically the same, the case could be design to cool the air to 7 degrees as it is blown in.
