First, I am unable to host a game and get this error:

I thought I fixed a similar error in TCE by changing it off of a public server, but I could not get it running. Could someone help?
Then my next problem seems to be something with the aspect ratio. I tried changing resolution and aspect ratio in the settings file that came with cqb, but it did absolutely nothing. I will try to get a screenshot of the problem up later if you are not able to understand. But my home screen is coming up too large for my monitor, and cuts it off at about half way through the options button. Anyone have any ideas on this?
I actually had both of these problems in TCE and worked at it for hours to get it working. This time those hours seem to have just been wasted, and I couldn't get it figured out. I am running in linux (Mint KDE 10).
