It is the 9mm variant of the AUG.

What I don't get is, who decided to put in the AUG Para, LOL. Why not the full size AUG, why the SMG version?

Just how many 5.56mm nato weapons are needed?
I mean really they are all almost identical, (ROF, Damage, Range, Accuracy, Recoil) it becomes very redundant.

I'd much rather see them persue different calibers, such as 7.62 NATO or 6.8mm Remington.

Also the AUG isn't really used much, the bullpup design is rather high maintance and needs frequent cleaning...not to mention it has a heat buildup problem...
Both of which leads to a lot of jamming.

Famas is an underated weapon. It has a few stistical high and lows that make it an intersting option to other weapons. For starters its has the highest assault rifle ROF right behind the G11.

I intentionally didnt want the regular Aug for TCE. Its meant to be the new allround terror smg to be more similar to the mp5 than the MAC10 and still 9mm, I think that the AKSU is more of a regualr assault rifle than an smg I wanted to close the gap a bit there. It is known to be the most accurate 9mm gun in the world.

I agree with the part that the old and trite colt vs ak type of gun thing became bland and copied way too much. I do my best to break this up.

I can see the 6.8mm Rem. SPC and the 6.5 Grendel more range and greater energy down range.

6.8mm = .277 caliber

6.5mm = .240 caliber (I belive)

So? I dont see the point adding the regular aug right now as its just another 5.56 caliber weapon. It will maybe be added to the game later. Its not a big deal anyway, just the barrel and mag is different.
But as smg it does really shine and stick out positively.

Any Way!? My favourit weapon is already in the Game the Ak74!

Effective range and Rate Of Fire... not to mention damage and recoil as well are VERY different.

I very much doubt the effective range rating.
The aug para thanks to its bullpup type design has a much longer barrel and the bullet has more time to accelerate the effective range must be higher especially since its said to be the most accurate 9mm weapon there is.
100m is nothing for a weapon that nearly uses its entire length to energize and stabilze the bullets fligh

also its not BOTH aug's its only one aug actually. Its the same gun that comes with a conversion kit to be changed to the shorter 9mm version just like the groza for example (except the groza is even more extreme in all aspects)
